Printing methods

Τhere are multiple printing methods on fabric and they all reflect a different printing effect. The appropriate method depends on the type of the fabric for the product you will create, the numbers of colors and designs used as well as the final production quantity.

Digital Dye Sublimation Print

Heat transfer printing on polyester fabrics (80-100% pol.) Each printed item has a consistent color rendering. It is resistant to washing, retains its elasticity and has a long life. It is ideal for sportswear, decorative items, bags, scarves. Sublimation printing is also used on the field of communication and marketing, for outdoor promotion (displays, banners) etc.

Digital Inkjet printing

Digital inkjet printing is used on natural fabrics such as cotton, silk or blended fabrics using inks that print direct on fabric. It is popular for printing on t-shirts and clothes and mainly on fabrics with natural base. It is also perfect on the field of decoration for printing on curtains, linens and upholstery fabrics.

Screen printing

Screen printing is the oldest printing method. Used when fewer colors had to be printed on a design in a large print volume. It doesn’t have a great clarity on details and cannot render a variety of color tones. Its great advantage is that it can be used on all fabric surfaces but also on other recycled or synthetic materials. Silkscreen inks are opaque.

DTF

DTF is using specific kind of inks to print the design on a film. Then the film is dried, a power glue is applied to the back side of the film and heat is transferred to the fabric. Its advantage is that it is applied to each type of fabric from one to an unlimited number of copies. Has fast production, bright colors and soft texture. It is Ideal for small scale production.
